95 percent of the investigations into the killing of Former Parliamentarian Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra have now concluded, according to the Police.
Police Media Spokesperson SP Ajith Rohana said that sixteen persons have been placed in remand custody in connection with the incident.
He went on to note that fifteen persons from the side of Parliamentarian Duminda Silva's side and one person from the side of Bharatha Lakshman are among those arrested.
SP Rohana also said that ten suspects connected to the shooting were identified during an identification parade.
He added that all arrangements have been made by the Criminal Investigations Department to
forward the documents relating to the incident to the Attorney General, for future action.
The police also stated that they have received the reports from the Government analyst to whom the firearms used in the shooting were presented.
Today marks three months since the death of Former Parliamentarian Bharatha Lakshaman Premachandra.
