CEB, CPC WATER BOARD, UNIVERSITY LECTURERS SALARIES INCREASED

Electricity, Petroleum, Water Board and Lecturers Salaries increased:

It was announced today by the Cabinet Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, that the salaries of employees of Ceylon Electricity Board, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, The Water Supply & Drainage Board Employees salaries would me increased by 18% of the gross salary. In addition it had been approved to grant a special allowance of Rs 2500/- to each employee in addition to this increase monthly salary.
In the mean time the salaries of University Lecturers are to be increased very soon. In this connection a circular is been prepared by the Permanent Secretary to the Minister of Higher Education Sunil Jayantha Nawaratna, confirmation of which was released to the media.
