In the Sigiriya town area 3 popular street drama artists were arrested by the Police when those in the neighbourhood had complained to the Police. They had been fully drunk and were dancing and singing on the streets making the observers astonished and ashamed.
The scenes were very ugly and unbearable to view. The actors who were portraying dancing and singing street scenes were fully drunk. Two of them are brothers and natives of Warakapola and are supposed to be two prominent members of a street drama fleet. They have visited Sigiriya to visit a relative. As they were drunk they had forgotten what they were doing almost nude.
