During ‘Trial Time’, a vehicle had gone out of control and had burst into flames which are shown in the video. When the car went out of the road Police officers were running towards the scene. One fan had said not to go near as there will be a ‘blast’. However when they were nearing the vehicle it burst into flames. However the fire was brought under control. The driver had jumped out of the vehicle and escaped.

EPPAWELA MYSTERY REVEALED

“We are dying in the styles shown on TV’s and newspapers”

The manner the hangings took place have been revealed:
In the past week in the Kadigawa village in Eppawela, two sisters and a former dismissed Commander Soldier of the Police died by hanging themselves on top of a large Margosa tree in the premises of the two sisters. This tragedy shook the entire village. The story was heard in many Medias in the country as shocking news. By now certain secrets of the killings have been unearthed.
The two sisters still school going had lived with the former Police commando as married couples. The mother by name ‘Kawamma’ could not bear seen them together and had decided to earn her own living and had dwelled in a relative’s house nearby. The mother of the two daughters had made a complaint in this regard in the Police. The ex Police commando, Ruwan had got scared that the police may arrest and that he be remanded on the orders of the court.
Before the deaths Ruwan had threatened to kill all of them, but in a different fashion. The in the manner shown the television and what he had read in newspapers. The suicide had been committed with the help of a nylon rope for the entire village to see. As expected after the killings the entire Media focussed attention on the deaths.
The Mother ‘Kawamma’ had made desperate attempts to take the two daughters away with her. As all her attempts failed she had left her home reluctantly.
The day before the incident the 15 year old younger sister had bought a nylon rope 17 metres in length from a nearby boutique. The rope was cut into 3 equal pieces and was kept near the huge margosa tree. In each rope a loop had been to make it easier to hang. The Mother had said earlier only the younger daughter could climb trees. The rope had been initially thrown to the top of the tree. The elder sister had been taken to the top of the tree perhaps with the aid of the nylon rope or through Ruwan’s assistance. There had been on the ground near the root of the tree an aerated water bottle they had drunk before alighting to the top of the tree. Ruwan had manipulated the operation of hanging which had been done simultaneously.
After the bodies were brought to ground there had been two letters in Ruwan’s trouser pocket. One letter was one to his Mother and the other to his Brother in the army. In the letters he had pleaded for the mistakes and asked for apologies. It had been said the 3 of them had committed suicide and no one should be suspected for their deaths. This tragic news shook the entire village with terrible unbearable grief.

What was promised by the Commissioner of Examination to release the Advanced level examination results on the 25th,it was ultimately release at 11 p.m. This had caused anxiousness among students making them to be in a tensed situation and feel very uneasy through severe enthusiasm.

The Commissioner of Examinations is perturbed:
Today 25th as the Commissioner of Examinations of Examinations promised to release of the G.C.E Advanced Level examination results many students were obviously in much expectations. Because of this inordinate delay they now expect the results to be released at least today. The Principals under the purview of the educational divisions offices of Colombo and Jayawardenapura were requested initially to call over at the Department of Examinations to collect results it had not happened until afternoon. They were thoroughly disappointed. At 10 a.m. it was told that they would get the results by 2 p.m. and at 2 p.m. were told it would be at 6 p.m. However even at 7 p.m. the results were not released. According to unconfirmed reports no one from the media was able to communicate with the Commissioner of Examinations. It was told that the results were in the process of been prepared.
Unconfirmed reports reveal that still the results are been finalised. As the work of the results are been done in a confusing manner, there is doubt among many, that how accurate the final results that are released would be?

TRANSPORT MINISTER DRIVES AT 180 KMPH EXPRESS SPEED

It had been emphasised by the related authorities that the maximum speed on the new Southern Express Highway is only 100 KMPH. If anyone exceeds this limit there are equipment in the possession of the related authorities to detect and penalise the drivers, the Operations Director of the new Southern Express Highway B.D.K.Bandara has announced and made an open warning to the public in the media.
In the meantime a van had met with an accident yesterday the 28th for having exceeded this maximum speed limit. In complete contrast to the basic rules the Minister of Transport, Kumar Welgama at a meeting praising the new highway had said “I accelerated up to 180 KMPH without feeling anything having driven along it”

A statement to be taken from Hema Premadasa

Regarding the huge uproar that took place the day before yesterday at the Headquarters of the UNP- the SIRIKOTHA, the Mother of the Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa, Hema Premadasa is to be questioned by the Police. This is because she and her daughter Dulanjali Jayakody had been seen distributing lunch parcels and water bottles to those who had gathered outside the UNP Headquarters from early afternoon
This is because they may have had connection with those who gathered outside the UNP Headquarters who may have caused the uproar. This statement is made just to verify this situation. Police needs more information to investigate into this incident.

Bus service on Express Highway from and to from Maharagama and Galle

Both CTB and private buses have been given the approval to ply on the new Express Southern Highway. Although real highway terminus is at Kottawa and Pinnaduwa, the buses are scheduled to commence from Maharagama and complete the Journey at Galle instead of Pinnaduwa, the end of the highway. 
The bus fairs and prescribed stoppage points have been named. They are appended below:
From Maharagama to Kottawa the fare would be Rs 100/-,to Kahatuduwa is Rs 120/-,to Galanigama it is Rs 150/-,Rs 240/- to Welipenna,Rs 300/- to Kurundugama, Rs 330/- to Nayapamulata, Rs 310/-to Pinnaduwa Rs 370/-and Rs 400/- to Galle are the fares that have been fixed.

By shaking the world with deep grief the ex-Venuzuela beauty queen Eva Ekvall succumbed to breast cancer, the dreaded decease which spread over her body died on the 17th December at a Hospital in Houstan in America. At the time of her demise she was only 28 years old. She was the mother of a one year old daughter.
She was crowned the Beauty Queen of Venezuela in the year 2000 and represented her country in the Miss World contest where she was placed 4th.  
Her symptoms of cancer were detected only last year in the year 2010.After she was elected as the beauty Queen of Venuzuela she became a very popular Television presenter and also became author of many books. The suffering she underwent and to make awareness among the masses especially women about breast cancer she wrote a book FUERA DE FOCO (OUT OF FOCUS), She explained the experiences of her suffering to the layman. Although she was able to delight the people through her beauty she had ultimately to shave her head and become bald. This forced her to be away from the attraction of her enthusiasts.
By listening to her father by reading books she decided to change her religion to become a true Buddhist. Thus she was the only non Christian to be crowned as Miss Venezuela. She followed Dalai Lama’s Buddhist principles. She published books with great expectations and sacrifice about breast cancer in particular.

Have you heard South Indian film star Danush’s song “Why this Kolaveri di”? Although it is a South Indian melody with the song, why there should be restrictions in it crossing all borders across the globe? This song has already been able to attract and erupted music fans over the world. The reason has been found that it has spread like a virus among the younger generation. The CNA radio channel has already placed this song as the best in 2012.
The song was officially released on 16th November and has already created a record among ‘U’ Tube viewers as up to last night 298 lakhs of people had viewed and listened to it. In Sri Lanka too it has gathered the same momentum in the internet and private radio channels and has become tremendously popular.
This song has been composed and sung for a Tamil film to be released. It is a Tamil-English composition and is called ‘Tanguish’ and is sung in both languages.
“Why this kolaveri Di” has been questioned as to why it is so astonishing. The reason is perhaps the melody and very absorbing lyrics. In the film the song is sung by a drunken person in sadness having lost his lover. Hence it has Tamil and English combined words and this combination sounds better with a good flavour to the ear. Another feature is that when the song in sung certain words are have been dropped and are unheard probably  as it sung by a drunker in a pain of mind having lost his love. At certain parts the anguish nature is well elaborated. It is the reason for it to become very popular among the younger generation. The lyrics of the song has been written by Danush. The music score is by Anirudh Ravichandra. He had done it to the style of ancient South Indian music, it is learnt.
He is the son of the best film award winner 2011 in South India. He is married to the daughter of famous actor RajiniKanth’s daughter Aiyshwarai RajiniKanth. She is the director of the film. The women’s version had been sung in this film by the Gidad group and the song has been hailed and acclaimed.
Accordingly “Why this Kolaveri Di”has been produced and released. The little son of Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam sings the children’s version also appreciated by many.

In today’s election of UNP’s Central Committee in electing the leader of the UNP, The Deputy Leader and the Chief Organiser was held by a secret ballot at the UNP’s  Head Quarters ‘Siri Kotha’ in Pita Kotte. Once more it was Ranil Wickremasinghe who was elected as the Leader of the UNP as well as the Leader of the Opposition,defeating karu Jayasuriya. By defeating Ravi Karunanayake, Sajith Premadasa was elected as the Deputy Leader of the party. By beating Dayasiri Jayasekara ,Daya Gamage was elected as the ‘National Organiser’ of the party.

As there was a large gathering of supporters Ranil and the rest had to be confined to within the premises of the ’Siri Kotha’. In order to protect Ranil the Police had made a protection circle while escorting him back. The main actress of X Files chain of Tele- films, properties at Pasyala had been misappropriated by a trusted person appointed to administer the properties. A case was file by the CID after investigations. The Manager, an ex Army captain now disabled by name Anura Rathna Bandara was produced before courts and was ordered to be further remanded. This case was published in our web site a few days ago.
How could a foreigner possess so much of assets in Sri Lanka was the question that many wanted to know. The answer to this question was revealed when the case was called up for hearing in courts yesterday. The third party from the Gillian Anderson faction who represented her revealed about the property 7 acres in extent in Pasyala.  
This property had been purchased by Gillian Anderson, the famous Hollywood actress in the name of ‘Hill house private ‘company. Her husband is Mark Griffith who is a person who runs a number of Non Government Organisations. This large property had been purchased to commence a new NGO. This was disclosed by the party who represented the Actresses faction.

Gillian Anderson had appointed a reliable disabled Army Captain to administer the property until the buildings were erected. Unfortunately the reliable Army Captain had sold parts of the property by shrewdly forging the deeds and misappropriated the funds obtained. It was really shocking and sad what this ex Army officer who was appointed as a trusted person to administer to property quipped the actresses faction. At the end of the hearing the Manager had said that he done his utmost to maintain and upkeep the property. He requested to be bailed out as his wife is on the verge of expecting a baby. Hence he needs to be with her for conducting medical investigations. However his request was refused as the amount misappropriated amounted to a massive Rs 6.8 m. The Magistrate ordered him to be further remanded.

22 YEAR OLD KAHAWATTA ‘BOOTHAYA’

During the past few weeks the resident’s in the Kahawatta area were awfully scared and lived with fear thinking that they were under the impression that all the elderly women were killed by an unusual person. During the period 2008 t0 2010 there were 4 elderly persons were killed by a sex pervert, which was proved beyond doubt when the suspect, Dhanapala a youngster was interrogated
However the recent killings of 3 other women have taken a completely different stand, when the Special Task Police Force deployed to investigate with the Kahawatta Police made positive investigations. The investigations revealed that an army deserter, had been the killer of two more elderly women. He was a 22 year old had been suffering from a grave mental disorder had committed 2 murders and had confessed when interrogated. It revealed that he was in a critical mental condition and had resorted to sex with the dead women after killing. It is learnt when inquiries were made that after the army deserter had received severe head injuries, he had been driven into an unusual mental condition, and out of 7 killings he had been directly responsible for 4 killings. However the proof of the last killing is yet to be found.
The manner the last killing, the No 7 has now been unearthed. It has now been confirmed that a Commodore on a tip off, had been able to find how the killing was done by a son of old woman over a land dispute last week and had arrested the killer after interrogation.

DAMBADIWA ORGANISERS MISSING AT CHENNAI

The organisers have bolted by stranding the Dambadiwa devotees group at Chennai city

Organising pilgrimages to Dambadiwa has now become a common business in Sri Lanka. It is the ambition of many children who are better off in life to arrange a pilgrimage to Dambadiwa on their expense as a deep depth of gratitude to their parents which they appreciate and stay in anticipation  as an opportunity of their life time.
It has been reported about two months ago that as a result of a deed of some unscrupulous organisers and sheer negligence a group of such Dambadiwa pilgrims had been left stranded in Chennai city. At present things have changed. Some or most have become like Middle East job agents.
The organisers have bolted leaving 38 pilgrims deserted. The organisers are from Homagama-Padukka areas. The Pilgrims are from places like Kottawa, Meegoda and Maharagama areas and each had
 been charged a sum of Rs 65,000/- .It is learn that on arrival at Chennai hey had been given lodging at a place in “Parusawalkam” having just basic facilities. Before deserting and bolting they had collected cash to the tune of Rs one lakh and also from certain Indian pilgrims it is reported.
To their rescue the Chennai Maha Bodhi Society had intervened and given food and shelter and looked to their safety. After this incident two elderly parents through the shock had fallen sick and they had to be sent back to Sri Lanka. This is a lesson for those who intend to go to Dambadiwa on pilgrimages to inquire about the organising agents twice and to scrutinise them of their credibility.

PROPERTIES AT PASYALA OF HOLLYWOOD ACTRESS MISAPPROPRIATED

‘X FILES’-Hollywood actresses deeds of properties in Sri Lanka forged and misappropriated by the appointed Sri Lankan Manager:

Would anyone believe that popular ‘X FILES’ chain of Tele films the main actress Gillian Anderson owns properties in Sri Lanka?
Yesterday a court case was heard in against a person, supposed to be her Manager in Sri Lanka having got the deeds of her properties in Pasyala forged and then misappropriated funds to the tune of approximately Rs 17.8 m, which had been illegally used.
This had been manipulated astutely by the Manager to whom she had entrusted to look after her properties. When a complaint was investigated by the CID it had revealed and the Manager Anura Ratna Herath had been ordered to be arrested by courts.
He is supposed to have obtained a sum of Rs 6.8 m from the Hollywood actress on the pretext of an estimated expense to obtain a supply of electricity to one of the properties. He had manipulated through forged deeds and sold properties to the tune of Rs 17.8 m by selling them.
All equipments that she had kept in her building too had been misused and had stated in her statement issued by the plaintiff. Among her equipment she has had a television worth Rs 3 lakhs.
These facts had been disclosed by a foreigner who had been sent by the British Hollywood Actress to check her assets at Pasyala. The British had complained to the Police who handed over to the CID to investigate.
After the fraudulent misappropriation of funds were proved the Manager was produced before the Fort Magistrate, Miss Lanka Jayaratna who ordered the suspect to be remanded till the 4th.For the case Actress Gillian Anderson had not come .She had sent a British representative on her behalf.
It was later discussed and questioned by many as to how this British Actress could have so of much of assets in Sri Lanka.

MOBILE POLICE ABUSE AT NARAHENPITA

Young unmarried couple stopped at makeshift road check point, subjected toharassment and embarrassment, robbed of cash

The suspects- 4 Policemen from Narahenpita Police nabbed by the CID and remanded:

Last Friday night along Kirimandala Mawatha, in Narahenpita an instant unauthorised road check point had been erected by a group of Policemen, probably going on a night patrol. They had stopped a BMW vehicle driven by a youngster and alongside had been a spinster probably his fiancé’. The Police had asked them irrelevant questions, robbed the youngster of his cash and tried to sexually abuse and embarass the young spinster by feeling her body.
The youngster without making an entry in the Police had decided it is more prudent to complain to a Deputy Inspector of Police about the incident. Instant investigations were conducted by the CID and they were able to identify 4 Policemen and to arrest them to be produced before Courts. The youngster is the son of a reputed businessman from Kotahena by name Shehan Wickremasinghe who is on vacation for Christmas when this miserable incident took place. He is undergoing a course in Aircraft Engineering in the ‘Sunway’ University in Malaysia.
After the car was stopped at the unauthorised make shift road ‘block’, one policeman had asked “Where are you both heading to, are you’ll married, what are you both trying to go in the night” etc., all third grade irrelevant questions typical of our Policemen’s language were posed.
They had been asked to get off the vehicle and the youngsters body had been checked by feeling his entire body. Then he was asked to remove his trouser and had made dirty remarks about his vital organs. From his pocket had stolen a thousand rupee note and some coins from other pockets.
Again they had abusive language.”So you both are going to enjoy and have fun tonight, but it is not good to enjoy alone Mallie”. The oldest of the lot had felt the body of the young spinster and as they tried to escape had grabbed their cell phones. On pleading one of the phones had been given back.
On the 24th when the youngster was thinking of this unfortunate incident he had received a telephone call to his mobile phone. The caller had said “the girl whom you lifted yesterday is needed by us also”. Then on the 25th only he had complained to a DIG. The CID was summoned and deployed to trap these Policemen. After successful investigations four Policemen were arrested.
The arrested were identified as Sergeant P.Somaratna, Police Constable Supun Prasanna Gunaratna, Police Constable Eashan Madushankar and Police driver Nuwan Chinthaka. They were produced yesterday before the Additional Magistrate Colombo, Hasan Amarasena who ordered them to be remanded until the 4th.An identification parade is also to take place before the case is heard.

SISIRA DIES? RUPAVAHINI”S UNPRDONABLE HUGE MISTAKE

blunders by reporting living Sisira Senaratna as dead

The National television ‘Rupavahini’ in its hourly news bulletin today at 10.55 a.m. had made a huge unpardonable mistake by announcing that the living singing legend ’Sisira Senaratna’  had expired. They had also given an account of himself as an ‘award’ winning singer and about the clips of his songs in films he had sung in videos and various  other information. Incorrect news had been telecast arousing many artistes, general public and his fans to be shocked in grief. The news had spread all over the country like wild fire.
When news web site contacted his son to find out more information, it was confirmed to be totally false information. It was mentioned that a large number of telephone calls had been received after this news was made in the Rupavahini’s hour’s news bulletin seeking information.
It is disheartening to note that this serious mistake was not rectified and apologised to the viewers in their Afternoon’s news bulletin at 12.30 p.m., which is a matter of grave concern. It is a very serious error to telecast totally incorrect information of a legendary Artiste whose popularity had spanned for nearly 7 decades. The overall conclusion of all contemporary artistes and the general public is that wrong information was telecast without any responsibility.

It was only the other day that she expressed at a prolonged discussion in the Swarnavahini channel that ‘men will go made, if not for prostitutes’. She had added that she is unaware of the internet. She went on to say that she knows only e mailing. Then the TV presenter questioned her in this manner.
“Your photographs very often appear in the internet” by the web site owners. What is your opinion about them? 
‘I do not know it is learnt that some have got into trouble, although you may know but I am unaware. I have no query about it’.
In your field there had been abusive news?.
“If they are incorrect they have to be invariably corrected. The web site owners should take the entire responsibility. I know only to e mail...laugh...I have no business with them. I do not know as there will be good things as well, which is in today’s context is the nature”.
